It’s day two of dropping the kids to their new school – one was clingy this morning but I know they’ll be fine, they came home raving about their day yesterday. I got home without using the satnav so getting used to the route. Called into the Co-op which will be 30 secs from our new house to pick up a couple of items unavailable in Lidl yesterday.

It’s also the first day of Advent. We seem to have a glut of calendars this year – some traditional, some full of chocolate and my life is a little more complete as my Mother in Law treated me to the Lego Star Wars calendar which I’ve yearned for but not be able to afford since it was launched in 2011. It has figures from an animated Christmas special currently on Disney+, worth a watch as it cleverly brings together scenes from all the movies and the Mandalorian.

Advent is a time of waiting and preparation. If you happen to be the sort who likes a little reflection each day then do check out my series of posts each morning over at

Today, I will also be knuckling down to complete some freelance work before the end of the year. I will also be continuing my journey of working back though previous projects to see what insight I can gain about where i’m heading (I’m blogging about that over at anewloom too).
